Accordion star Sharon to play in Leamington

IRISH accordion icon Sharon Shannon will be performing at Leamington’s Assembly on next Monday (November 26).

The folk musician has played with Jackson Browne, Steve Earle, Alisson Krauss and Shane McGowan, performed in front of US presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama and released the biggest selling album of Irish traditional music.

The band will feature Jim Murray on acoustic guitar, Dezi Donnelly on fiddle and Jack Maher electric guitar and mandolin.

Support is from Andrew O’Brien. Tickets cost £17.50.

The McCarthy Family play Sligo Live



Members of The McCarthy Family play a set of tunes during the 'London Calling' concert at Sligo Live 2012. They are Marion (uilleann pipes), Jacqueline (concertina), Bernadette (fiddle) and Tommy (fiddle).
'London Calling' is an Irish Diaspora-led concert which is an initiative of the Sligo Live Festival. This entire concert was streamed by LiveTrad.com with funding from the Arts Council. The concert was streamed on October 28th 2012 from The Glasshouse Hotel in Sligo.
