(Photo credit: sludgegulper)Ceol na Locha Festival: "The annual Ceol na Locha festival takes place in Tuar Mhic Éadaigh in the Mayo Gaeltacht from August 13 to 17. Classes will take place in the following instruments: button and piano accordion, tin whistle, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, bodhrán, concertina, guitar, art, sean-nós dancing. This year, for the first time cooking classes will also take place. Tuition will be through the medium of Irish.
Various workshop, walks, etc, will also take place, finishing with a barbecue on the Friday. A music session takes place in various pubs each night of the festival.
